3. Leveling the rough surface
Some workers prefer to do without rough leveling, and already during the tile laying process, they adjust the volume of the adhesive compound or cement-sand mortar when fixing the material in order to compensate for the irregularities. But this approach is not reasonable.
Nevertheless, it is much better if the walls are leveled at the preparatory stage. Cement plaster is used to level them. It is applied to the primed surface, carefully smoothed. If the irregularities are too significant, then the plaster should be laid on a reinforcing mesh.
4. Preparing the foundation for the first row
Again, not all employees take into account that the installation of tiles on the walls should start from the second row. To do this, you will need to provide a suitable support. A support bar made of aluminum or steel profile is used. Sometimes they just take a flat board. It is fixed at the level so that it is at the height of the lower edge of the second row.
After these preparatory measures, it will be possible to lay ceramic tiles in the bathroom on the walls as efficiently as possible.
